What’s the difference between a cult and a religion? Recognition, that’s it, all religions started as cults..
I mean you're not technically wrong, by definition a cult has a singular human leader (even if they claim otherwise) that is still living and a religion worships a something non living. Though it gets kind of convoluted when speaking about things like the ancient Greek cult of Dionysus or the current church of scientology. There's definitely more of a political spin on the definitions of either
